Dr. Sasha Houseman has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience and Psychology, a Master of Science degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition and a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition.  She has many articles published in peer-reviewed journals and has recently published a cookbook called, Paleo Superfood Synergy.

Full Bio

While completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience and Psychology, Dr. Sasha Houseman became drawn to eating disorder therapy, which led her to achieve a Master of Science degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Houseman continued to complete her Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Houseman has many articles published in peer-reviewed journals and has recently published a cookbook called, Paleo Superfood Synergy, focusing on how certain foods come together to provide a compounded health benefit for common conditions that plague our Western society.

 

Before finding her passion in Clinical Nutrition therapy, Dr. Houseman worked as a fitness trainer and nutrition educator for the U.S. Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan. After working as a private practice nutrition for many years, Dr. Houseman joined the Essential Nutrition team and now offers one-on-one consultations, small group, clinical education presentations, and grocery store tours. She is passionate about managing debilitating conditions with a personalized and functional approach to nutrition in a comfortable and healing environment. Having lived in three different countries on three different continents, Dr. Houseman provides a unique and integrative approach to therapy. She is also fluent in Spanish.
