Full Bio

In her eight years of experience, Lorissa has worked in counseling and education within a variety of settings. During her time in physical rehabilitation and acute care hospital settings, Lorissa has consulted with people across the lifecycle – from pediatric to geriatric patients – with a wide range of clinical conditions including, but not limited to: gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and liver disease. In addition to her work in the rehab center and hospital, Lorissa has worked at an eating recovery center in Arizona in which she was the lead dietitian for the Adult Residential Program. She also assisted with the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs. In her work at the eating recover center, Lorissa helped clients incorporate an “all foods fit” philosophy in their recovery-focused lifestyle.

When working with clients, Lorissa integrates her “all foods fit” mindset with an evidence-based approach to determine what is best for each individual with whom she works. Lorissa is currently working towards her certification as a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian and Certified Nutrition Support Clinician. She is available for one-on-one consultations, group educations, and restaurant support or grocery store tours.
