Alexandra is a registered dietitian with a master’s degree in public health from the University of Michigan. She has experience counseling individuals with a variety of medical conditions and helps them achieve optimal health and disease management by empowering individuals to take an active role in their health and well being. She has experience with eating disorders, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, GI disorders, and liver and kidney diseases, among others. She counsels individuals of all ages, and offers group and family counseling as well.
Alexandra has worked extensively with the elderly population both as a dietitian and as a director of a senior living community developing and overseeing health education programs for this population. She is an advocate for expanding community-based healthy lifestyle programs, and making such programs accessible to all populations.
While food and nutrition education is at the center of her counseling, Alexandra believes that lifestyle change cannot be achieved without exploring the psychological, social, and practical life barriers to self care. With a compassionate, patient-centered, intuitive-eating approach, Alexandra will assist you in navigating your individual path to whole-person wellness.
Alexandra is a mother of two young boys. Together with her husband and sons she enjoys yoga, hiking, exploring new foods and restaurants, playing musical instruments, and nightly dance parties at home!
