About Lisa Lanzano
With over 25 years of experience, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Lisa Lanzano, MS, RDN, CIEC, focuses on helping her clients develop a healthy relationship with food, eating, and their bodies. At Essential Nutrition, with two locations in Boulder and Denver, Colorado, she specializes in helping individuals and families who are struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating.
Lisa has a true passion for helping individuals overcome eating disorders and uses the best dietary and lifestyle approach that honors each client’s whole self. She teaches her clients how to navigate their own journey through nutrition and health and educates them on self-awareness and acceptance.
Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science in nutrition and food management from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. She then earned her Master of Science in gerontology (the study of aging) with an emphasis in physiology and nutrition from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
Upon graduating, she worked as a clinical nutritionist at Canyon Ranch Wellness Resort in Tucson, Arizona, for six years. She then moved to Colorado in 2003, accepting a position as the sole nutritionist at South Denver Cardiology Center in Littleton, Colorado. In 2006, she opened her private practice, Essential Nutrition, in Boulder. Since then, it has continued to grow and flourish with offices now in both Boulder and Denver.
Lisa has been featured in local newspapers and magazines, including Daily Camera, Rocky Mountain Sports, and Delicious Living for her expert nutrition advice. She co-authored the “Skeletal System and Joint Health” chapter in the textbook, Integrating Therapeutic and Complementary Nutrition.
Lisa and her family currently live in France, where she sees clients virtually. She is the mother of two vivacious and curious kids, and in her downtime enjoys hiking, yoga, studying French, and traveling.
